Students at Kiddin’ Around Preschool went to the Shepherd of the Valley Boardman location Dec. 13 to bring some holiday cheer to the residents there. The children ranged in age from 3 to 5 and many wore festive clothing that matched their holiday theme.
The Kiddin’ Around students sang holiday favorites like “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” and “Silent Night,” mostly as one large group. Among these holiday classics, each of the three classes that went to the Shepherd of the Valley performed a class song.
“This is our third year performing for the residents at Shepherd of the Valley Boardman,” said Nancy Alberti, a teacher at Kiddin’ Around Preschool. “We got started doing this because one of our student’s mothers is a social worker here and she thought it would be a great treat, both to the residents and the children.”
The Kiddin’ Around teachers would have brought 52 students with them to perform for the residents at Shepherd of the Valley, but some of the children were absent that day.
