Snow has arrived in Mahoning, Columbiana counties

The winter storm forecast for the Mahoning Valley is on its way.

Vindicator staff report heavy snow and low visibility along U.S. Route 224 in Boardman, and snow is also coming down hard in Columbiana County.

The National Weather Service is forecasting upward to 10 inches of snow, and in parts of Ohio near Dayton, a blizzard warning is in effect until 1 a.m. Thursday.
