Two families are grieving today after a head-on collision in southwestern Ohio killed four people, including a 7-year-old boy, and critically injured two other children.
Ohio State Patrol Sgt. Stan Jordan says alcohol is strongly suspected to be a factor in the crash, which happened at 2:30 a.m. two days before Christmas.
Jordan says a 40-year-old Joshua Nkansah of Fairfield, Ohio was driving with his children on Interstate 75 near Franklin when he turned his minivan around on the highway and started driving the wrong way.
He hit another minivan carrying Scott and Michele Barhorst of Madisonville, Tenn., and their four children.
Jordan says Nkansah and his 7-year-old son, and Scott and Michelle Barhorst were killed. Nkansah’s 4-year-old son and the Barhorsts’ 9-year-old daughter are in critical condition.

Acohol or automobiles should be banned way too many sensless killings...Maybe if caught with 1 DUI you loose the right to drive forever... Need stiffer laws for these offensives...
mrrightsometimes, you are right this time.
They should make a first offense DUI a mandatory 11 months in jail with counseling and a 5 year license suspension. A 2nd offense a minimum 3 years in jail and permanenly revoke the person's license. If caught driving after that a minimum 15 year sentence. Over 200 innocent children are killed annually by drunk drivers annually, the equivalent of having the number of kids killed in the Newtown, Conn. tradgedy happen every 5 weeks.
Sounds like we need a law against driving drunk. Maybe we should ban driving while drunk. Oh wait we already have those but more laws and banning drunk driving have to be good right? Maybe just execute drunk drivers on the side of the road and leave the bodies there with signs
Acccording to the NRA's philosophy, we need to have everyone driving drunk in order to level the playing field.
