“Community Connection” (7 a.m. Sunday on 21 WFMJ-TV; and 7 p.m. Tuesday on Time Warner Cable community access channel): Neil Durbin and Sharon Seaton of Dominion East Ohio will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the winter reconnect program, home energy assistance and other programs to help customers with their natural-gas bills.
Next, Carmelita Douglas, executive director of the Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority (YMHA), will discuss the new housing development along Martin Luther King Boulevard, the result of Hope Six funding initiated over a decade ago, and what is in store for the YMHA in the coming year.
Mountaineer ready for New Year’s Eve
Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack and Resort will ring in the New Year on Dec. 31 with a ballroom party and a celebration on the gaming floor.
Dr. Zoot will perform in the ballroom from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Party hats and noisemakers, a balloon drop, and a champagne toast at midnight will round out the night.
