YOUNGSTOWN — Prices for a wedding or event at Fellows Riverside Gardens will be going up by 20 percent for those looking to rent space next year.
The Mill Creek MetroParks commissioners approved the increase at tonight’s board meeting. The changes were recommended by Keith Kaiser, horticulture director for the parks.
“It’s been five years since the last rate increase and we thought it was time,” Kaiser said. “They’re very busy and used a lot.”
The Gazebo and Kidston Pavilion, which are reserved for weddings only, now cost $150 to rent for two hours. That price will go up to $180.
The Rossi Auditorium inside the D.D and Velma Davis Education & Visitor Center now costs $675, but will be jumping to $810 per reservation, Kaiser said.
