Podiatric physicians and staff from Ankle and Foot Care Centers are urging the community to help the area’s less fortunate by donating new pairs of shoes.
The practice, with 18 locations throughout the Mahoning Valley, aims to collect more than 800 pairs of shoes between now and Jan. 4. Shoe drive collection stations are now in place at each office, all of which are accepting new or nearly-new shoes. All types of shoes are accepted, including both children’s and adult sizes, and styles ranging from casual to dress to athletic.
The Salvation Army will distribute the shoes to families in need in the Mahoning Valley.
Ankle and Foot Care Centers is the region’s largest podiatric care provider, with 16 physicians and surgeons serving patients at 18 local offices, including Austintown, Boardman, and Poland. Specific locations and other information are located on the group’s website, at www.ankleandfootcare.com.
