Woman arrested in hit-and-run death of Ohio teen

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio

Authorities say a 49-year-old woman has been arrested in the hit-and-run death of a western Ohio teenager who went missing before his body was found in a roadside ditch in October.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that Cathy Humphries turned herself in at the Logan County jail Tuesday. She was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, drunken driving and leaving the scene of an accident.

Detectives say Humphries was drunk and had marijuana in her system when she hit 15-year-old Austin Houser as he walked along a road Oct. 25 in the village of Rushsylvania.
