Pa. man killed in Hubbard Township crash

Staff report

HUBBARD

Troopers from the Southington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a one-car crash that killed a West Middlesex, Pa., man on state Route 304 Tuesday night in Hubbard Township.

The crash killed Mark A. Patrick, 20, at 10:25 p.m. just west of the Pennsylvania state line. Patrick died at the scene.

His 2012 Chevrolet Cruze was eastbound on Route 304 when he failed to negotiate a slight left curve and traveled off the right side of the road and struck a tree. The car sustained heavy front-end damage. Patrick was not wearing a seat belt. Tests are being done on Patrick’s blood to determine whether he had been drinking.

The fatality is 31st one for Trumbull County in 2012. The county had 20 traffic fatalities in 2011, 32 in 2010.

Could be texting or drinking, you should where your seat belt when doing either/or both.
