Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

Palmy Chapter 114, Order of the Eastern Star, will host its monthly soup and salad meal from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Deerfield Masonic Hall, 2380 state Route 225. The meal costs $6 and consists of a choice of homemade soups, tossed salad, dessert and a beverage. Takeouts are available. Proceeds support the Back Door Pantry at Palmyra United Methodist Church and other charities.

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, will host a takeout-only beef tips and noodles dinner from 2:30 to 6 p.m., or until sold out. Meal consists of Angus beef tips, noodles, mixed vegetables, roll with butter and a cookie. Cost is $7. Drive up to the church back door, place order, and food will be brought to your car. Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. A limited supply of frozen pirogi will be available. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available. This is the final sale of the year.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 a dozen by advance order only. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 Friday at 330-746-9528, and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. There will be no luncheon. This is the last sale before Christmas.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $6 per dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome. Dec. 21 will be the last sale before Christmas.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday; walk-in orders will be available. This is the last sale before the holiday.


American Legion Post 751 and Southington Community Park Volunteers will sponsor a pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the post home, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, Southington. The meal consists of all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage or biscuits and gravy. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

Damascus United Methodist Church, 300 Valley Road, is serving its monthly all-you-can-eat breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m.


Fowler Fire Department, 3386 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, will host a pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $5 for seniors, $6 for other adults, $4 for children and free for those 5 and under.
