Youngstown man dies in Pa. crash on I-80

TANNERSVILLE, Pa. — A Youngstown man died in a crash involving three tractor-trailers that closed part of Interstate 80 in northeastern Pennsylvania early today.

Officials say the crash happened during foggy conditions in the eastbound lanes about 3:30 a.m. in Pocono Township, Monroe County.

Pennsylvania State Police say one of the trucks lost a concrete wall off its flatbed trailer, causing a chain-reaction crash involving the other two tractor-trailers.

Officials say 41-year-old truck driver Daniel L. Snyder of Youngstown died at the scene.

Eastbound Interstate 80 remained closed late today between exits 293 and 298 while authorities investigate. It has since reopened.
