Ohio inmate appeals judge's obesity claim denial

Published: Mon, December 10, 2012 @ 7:40 p.m.

COLUMBUS (AP) — A condemned Ohio killer trying to delay his execution because of his extreme weight is appealing the ruling of a judge who denied his claim.

Death row inmate Ronald Post weighs more than 400 pounds and is asking the courts to stop his January execution on the grounds his weight could cause him to suffer severe pain during the procedure.

Post asked a federal appeals court in Cincinnati today to overrule a judge’s ruling last month.

Cleveland federal Judge Lesley Wells said Post is prohibited from challenging his execution by injection because he raised similar claims in his first set of federal appeals in 1997. Judge Wells says Post hasn’t shown that either his medical condition or Ohio’s lethal injection procedures has changed radically since then.

Get this fat pigs vein ready. Delaying because he's scared to die. Boo Hoo. Give him a candy bar and put him six feet under.

Part of the Murder victim’s son letter...... (read the letter, it's from the heart and I could just imagine how he feels)

"""On Dec. 15, 1983, a non-feeling, low-life piece of human scum put two bullets into the back of her head, execution-style, taking her life. Ronald Ray Post, by his own admission, was the person who pulled that trigger and ended the life of a loving, caring woman at 53 years of age. Why? For his efforts, he walked out of the Slumber Inn Motel’s lobby with approximately $100 and a 13-inch black and white television. She would have given him the money and not put up a fight, but he did the cowardly thing, shooting her from behind while she worked on the nightly receipts. She probably didn’t even know he was behind her.""""

Here's the link if you want to tell this coward how bad you feel for him...you can email him and tell him you support him.....pitiful.

If the convict is too fat to execute, put him on a bread and water diet until he loses enough weight to execute. THEN carry out the court's sentence.

I don't support him. I support ending the death penalty. He can rot in prison for the rest of his life.

it is an inevitable fact that with capital punishment you will eventually execute an innocent man. The question is what ratio is acceptable to you? 9 guilty men for every innocent? 99 guilty for every innocent? 999 guilty? where do you draw the line?
