Christmas program

The Salem Historical Society will host a Christmas program at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the meeting room of Shaffer Library on Dale Shaffer Way.

After installation of the 2013 officers and a short business meeting, Joanne Reilly will share the history of Christmas ornaments, explaining when they were first made and how to spot reproductions.

Reilly, a board member of the Old Morgantown Glass Collectors’ Guild, will display examples of German feather trees, an array of glass ornaments and antique Santa figurines. Martha Rogowsky will host a sing-along of Christmas favorites.

Food and refreshments will be provided by members. The public is invited to the meeting and program. For information, contact the Salem Historical Society at 330-337-8514.
