A Tracey Lane woman was sentenced Friday to two years’ probation for burglary and aggravated riot.

Judge James C. Evans of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court ordered Tahirah Campbell, 23, to undergo anger-management and employment counseling.

Campbell, three other women and two juvenile females were accused of breaking into the Oregon Avenue home of two other women April 2 and behaving in a disorderly manner while inside.

Campbell and the other three adults originally were charged with aggravated burglary and aggravated riot. They pleaded guilty last October to aggravated riot and an amended charge of burglary.

Judge Evans also ordered Campbell to make $84 in restitution with the other defendants to the victim.

Jennifer McLaughlin, an assistant Mahoning County prosecutor, didn’t make a sentencing recommendation.

Atty. David Engler, who represents Campbell, told the judge that his client had been the victim in a confrontation earlier that day before what escalated into a brawl at the Oregon Avenue woman’s home.

The mother of three who completed her associate degree understands that she should have handled the situation differently, the attorney said.

Campbell apologized.

“I’m trying to better my life and make things better in life for my kids,” she said.

Co-defendants Shaunterra Hudson, 20, of Ferndale Avenue, and Raylette Davenport, 19, of East Boston Avenue, each were sentenced Nov. 29 to three years’ probation and ordered to complete anger management and counseling.

Nikkia Hudson, 35, of West Midlothian Boulevard, awaits sentencing.
