UPDATE: Jury convicts Jamelle Jackson of murder, felonious assault

Published: Thu, December 6, 2012 @ 12:29 p.m.

AKRON - A jury today found Jamelle Jackson guilty on all counts in the murder of Jamail Johnson, a 25-year-old Youngstown State University student, and the wounding 10 others at an off-campus party in February 2011

Sentencing will be at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 13 in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

Jackson could spend the rest of his life in prison.

The case was moved to Summit County because of pretrial publicity that could have affected jury selection.
