Jeb Bush to lead National Constitution Center

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is taking on a job once held by his father at the National Constitution Center.

Jeb Bush will become the next chairman of the Philadelphia museum, a post held by former President George H.W. Bush from 2007-2008.

Another former president, Bill Clinton, has held the position the last four years.

Jeb Bush served as a Republican governor of Florida from 1999-2007.

He says he hopes to fill “a critical void in our country” as he carries out the Constitution Center’s mission of improving civic education and engagement.

Clinton and the elder Bush are recipients of the institution’s annual Liberty Medal, honored for their humanitarian work with disaster victims.

The center’s been open on Independence Mall since 2003.

This is in keeping with history. First President George H.W. Bush, then President Bill Clinton and now Gov. Jeb Bush, who will be our President in 2016. This is nice.
