Youngstown police officers to be promoted Friday

YOUNGSTOWN — Police officers Anthony Vitullo and Robert Lodwick will be promoted from patrolman to the rank of detective sergeant Friday.

Vitullo was appointed to the police department July 28, 1997, and Lodwick was appointed to the police department May 8, 2000.

Mayor Charles Sammarone and police Chief Rod Foley will oversee the promotions at a 9 a.m. ceremony in city council chambers.
