Published: Wed, December 5, 2012 @ 11:14 p.m.

YOUNGSTOWN

City police continue to investigate an East Side fire that witnesses say started with a bomb.

A man inside a house at 209 North Lane Ave. said he heard a loud boom at about 1 a.m. Monday and heard another as he fled from the house, according to reports.

Police officers responding to the house also reported hearing an explosion.

When fire crews arrived the kitchen and back of the house were engulfed in flames, records show. Fire investigators ruled the blaze arson. No injuries were reported.
