NILES — Police have what they believe are identifiable photos of a robber who took an undetermined amount of cash this morning from National Cash Advance on Youngstown-Warren Road.
Ken Criswell, chief of detectives, said the man, wearing a white hoodie, asked to purchase a money order, then jumped behind the counter and kept his hand in his pocket as though he had a gun. Criswell said the man never showed the weapon.
The robber took the cash and forced two employees into a back room before fleeing the store. The security-camera photos show the mustached robber wearing a cap with a football helmet logo under the hoodie.
Police have distributed the photo and have asked anyone with information to call 330-652-9944.

Guess it's not politically correct to say he was "black".
"The suspect was described by police as in his late 20s or early 30s, and approximately 6-feet tall. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, a dark colored hat with a Cleveland Browns logo on the front and dark tassels hanging down on both sides, and gray pants. The man was described as having a moustache, wide nose and thick lips."
