HOWLAND
State Rep. Bob Hagan of Youngstown, D-60th, was getting his teeth cleaned in Niles on Monday when the dental hygienist told him about some medical records she had noticed along railroad tracks off of Deforest Road.
Hagan checked it out, calling fellow state Rep. Tom Letson of Warren, D-64th, after he confirmed what was there, including records containing Social Security numbers and addresses.
Howland is in Letson’s district, Hagan said. Letson was planning to contact Howland officials, Hagan said.
Hagan said the kind of information contained on the documents would have enabled someone to commit identity theft.
