Team’s outlook: Gates says the Rebels will benefit from having three starters back (Harrison, Newbauer and Hardenbrook). “[We] will need to grow up in a hurry to be competitive in a very tough ITCL,” Gates said.

League prediction: Gates says United is the team to beat for the league title.

Head coach: Walt Herriott, fourth year, 14-48.

Projected starters: Brooke Gedeon, senior, C, 5-10, 12.1 points; Kelsey McKim, junior, C, 5-8; Marisa Gorby, junior, F, 5-5, Courtney Weber, junior, F, 5-8; Logan Gatchel, senior, G, 5-4, 5.0 points.

Other varsity players: Abby Fuller, sophomore, F, 5-7; Hannah Hall, freshman, G, 5-1; Haley Hall, freshman, G, 5-1; Carson Rutledge, freshman, F, 5-5; Braxton Feezle, freshman, C, 5-7.

Team’s outlook: East Palestine returns three starters and is quicker overall. Also, the younger players add much-needed depth.

League prediction: United, South Range and Crestview are expected to top the league again with newcomer Jackson-Milton expected to make an impact.

Projected starters: Paije Kiraly, senior, post, 6-0, 11.3 points; Maggie Oblinger, senior, post, 5-10, 9; Zaina Sahli, senior, guard, 5-6, 4.5; Madison Tomaino, junior, guard, 5-7, 2.5; Rebecca Jones, junior, post, 5-10, 2.

Other varsity players: Brittany Schnellbach, senior, post, 5-10, 3.2; Gabrielle Tharp, junior, guard, 5-6; Beth Ritchie, junior, guard, 6-8; Samantha Oblinger, junior, post, 5-6.

League prediction: Keney sees United as the team to beat for the ITCL Tier One crown.

Head coach: Jason Thompson, third season, 23-21.

Projected starters: Tiffany Ketchum, sophomore, guard, 5-4, 4 points; Katy Crismon, senior, guard, 5-5, 4; Pam Pierce, senior, guard, 5-9, 14; Jenna Dickson, junior, forward, 5-9; Paige Bennett, sophomore, forward, 5-10, 2.

Other varsity players: Sarah Boyd, junior, guard, 5-6; Landri Moore, sophomore, guard, 5-4; Taylor Siefke, freshman, forward, 5-9.

Team’s outlook: Thompson said the Blue Devils will continue to be strong defensively. “Our main weakness will be experience,” said Thompson, noting that only three players return from last year. “The key to our season is how quickly [our[ young players develop mature.”

League prediction: Thompson says United and Crestview are the league’s top teams, with Lisbon and South Range following.

Projected starters: Peyton Allen, sophomore, guard; Lauren Cameron, junior, guard; Alyssa Harkins, sophomore, forward; Allissa Sparks, senior, forward; Chasity Pigman, senior, center.

Other varsity players: Rosie Gleason, junior, guard; Kayla Governor, sophomore, guard; Madison Blanchard, sophomore, guard; Adrianna Reese, sophomore, forward; Alyssa Porter, sophomore, center.

Team’s outlook: Matisi describes his players as athletic but inexperienced.

League prediction: Matisi says United, Crestview, Lisbon and South Range are the top teams in the league.

Head coach: Wayne Johnson, 121-40 in career.
