YSU's Slocum: Covelli Centre game could eventually draw Notre Dame, Michigan State

Published: Mon, December 3, 2012 @ 4:42 p.m.

Youngstown State coach Jerry Slocum's first game at the Covelli Centre will be against Hiram on Saturday.

If things go well, the Penguins' future opponents will be a lot more high-profile.

Slocum called Saturday's game — YSU's first home contest away from the Beeghly Center since 1972 — a "good first step trial," adding the Penguins could look to bring in Notre Dame, Michigan State or Pitt in future years.

Yes, Notre Dame against Michigan State, or Pitt against Michigan State could be a big draw. Huh, what's that...
