YOUNGSTOWN

A 35-year-old man charged with the kidnapping and abduction of his 3-year-old son surrendered to the Mahoning County sheriff’s office.

A county deputy said Robert Partridge turned himself in about 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the county jail along with the safe return of his son, Logan.

Partridge was indicted Thursday by a county grand jury on the two criminal charges.

Law-enforcement officials say Partridge, who has addresses in Canton, Warren and Austintown, was supposed to give his son to the boy’s mother last month, but instead disappeared with the child.

Partridge was being held Sunday at the county jail pending an arraignment on the charges.

A deputy said the young boy was reunited with his mother Sunday.
