Wisconsin badgers Nebraska

INDIANAPOLIS

Wisconsin’s Melvin Gordon and Montee Ball each rushed for more than 200 yards and James White ran for 109 yards and four touchdowns as the Badgers crushed Nebraska, 70-31, in the Big Ten Conference title game on Saturday night.

White ran for scores of 9, 1, 68 and 10 yards and Ball had TD runs of 16, 9 and 57 yards. Wisconsin (8-5, 4-4) ran for 539 yards and averaged 10.8 yards per rush.

Gordon’s TD came less than two minutes into the game, when he raced 56 yards for a score.

Cardinal Mooney product Braylon Heard ran six times for 28 yards and a 9-yard TD for Nebraska (10-3, 7-1).

The Cornhuskers are coached by former Mooney and Ohio State standout Bo Pelini.
