Donate candy for kids
The Pretty & Plus Shop, 8 State St., is participating in the Struthers Children’s Community Christmas party Dec. 15 at St. Nick’s Great Hall, 762 Fifth St.
The store is seeking donations of individually wrapped candies for children with special diet needs. Sugar-free, nut free, gluten-free and other such candies are desired.
Small toys, books, toothbrushes and wrap bands also will be accepted.
Drop off items at the shop by Dec. 12. The store is also collecting nonperishable food items.
Anyone who brings in $5 worth will receive a gift certificate worth $5 off any $10 purchase in January.
TST Christmas meal
Teen Straight Talk ministry has invited 15 families from Mahoning and Trumbull counties to share in an old- fashioned, home-cooked Christmas meal from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Litco International, 1 Litco Drive.
A Christmas program is prepared, along with a carol sing-along and presentation of gift cards from local stores to each family.
Since 1989, Teen Straight Talk has educated children, teens and parents about abstinence and how to make healthy and wise decisions about sex.
Free Xmas program
St. Joseph-Immaculate Heart of Mary School, 4490 Norquest Blvd., presents a free Christmas program at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 10 in the Parish Center.
The school’s fourth- through eighth-grade band, fourth-grade Flutophones and eighth-grade bell choir will perform, and kindergarten through seventh-grade students will sing.
The Drama Club is host.
