Call from Santa

Boardman

Boardman Park will be assisting Santa by offering a direct line from the North Pole with a Santa’s Calling event from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 11 and 12. The call is free. Parents who would like their children, age 3 to 8, to receive a call from Santa can pick up a form at the park office or download the form from BoardmanPark.com. Completed forms should be returned by Dec. 11 to the park office, 375 Boardman-Poland Road, Boardman 44512, or faxed to 330-726-4562.

Santa will have time for only one call per family. It is important to be home during the scheduled time for Santa’s call.

Health care forum

SHARON, PA.

Sharon Regional Health System will host a community health care forum at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Sharon High School auditorium. The forum is an opportunity for area residents to meet Sharon Regional’s new president and chief executive officer John R. “Jack” Janoso Jr., hear of the health system’s recent accomplishments and participate in a discussion on how a strong health system benefits the community. Sharon Regional representatives will be available for questions and also welcome suggestions for improving the community’s health care experiences.

Senior night

Columbiana

The Columbiana Area Tourism Bureau’s Joy of Christmas light display will have a senior night from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Admission to Firestone Park will be $8 per car, or $5 if a senior citizen age 55 or older is in your vehicle. A free gift will be given to each senior and the song “Silver and Gold” will be performed at Santa’s Ice Castle at the end of the light path. The show runs every Thursday through Sunday through Christmas night. Proceeds will benefit the restoration of Mirror Lake. Holiday open house

Howland

“A Moment for Me” Yoga and Wellness Center, 8309 High St. NE, will have a free holiday open house from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Items will include unique jewelry, pottery and crafts from local artists and gift certificates for classes. Refreshments will be available to purchase or sample from a consultant with Tastefully Simple and Wildtree. Some items are gluten-free. For information, call 330-568-0419 or 330-506-0612.
