Obama: GOP could cooperate more in second term
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — President Barack Obama says his re-election might help end the political stalemate in Washington, much like “popping a blister.”
In an interview with Time magazine, Obama says he expects Republicans in Congress to work more cooperatively in a second term, since his re-election would no longer be a factor.
The president says he also wants to do a better job of explaining to the public how his policies will help the economy grow. Obama claims he didn’t do a good enough job selling Americans on the stimulus plan and the auto company bailout because he was so focused on acting to fix the economy.
Obama says he wants to focus on overhauling immigration laws and reducing the nation’s dependence on foreign energy during a second term.

He is being rather smug in assuming that he will have a second term.
America does not need to be "sold" on failed stimulus plans or further investment in alternative energy which is not cost effective and requires taxpayer subsidies.
A second Obama term needs to be "popped like a blister."
So what he is saying is that he can't walk and chew bubble gum at the same time.

So, what Barack Hussein Obama is trying to tell me is that I am too stupid to understand how his plan is NOT working and that his mere "talk" will change the economy? He keeps wanting to point his finger at others but forgetsa that three fingers point right back at him. Quite simply this is a lack of leadership and he must go now. The House has passed numerous bills that are languishing in the Senate because of his associate pinhead Harry Reid.
GOP more agreeable to the outright destruction of the country. Sure, why not. Of course there will be no second term for the only president able to make Jimmy Carter look good. Run on your record, loser. Quit dividing the country just to hang onto the rudder a while longer. Sad.
Of course, all he does is talk, blame and point fingers. He "sold" America out.Enough with the talk,he MUST go! A second Obama term will decimate this great counrty. Please get the word out up there in Northeast Ohio,we have to help him win Ohio.
Reducing the nation’s dependence on foreign energy would be great, but really not a feasible plan in only 4 years.
America's dependence on foreign energy can be greatly reduced if the fracophobics do not ruin the great natural gas potential that we have.
Hopefully the domestic energy industry has the clout to over ride the misguided fear mongers.
