YOUNGSTOWN — After more than a weeks' worth of testimony, the case against Columbus Jones Jr., accused of killing one man and injuring 11 others at an off-campus party near Youngstown State University in February 2011, is in the hands of a jury.

The five-man, seven-woman jury began deliberations today against Jones, 23, who is charged with murder of YSU student Jamail Johnson and 11 counts of felonious assault, all with firearm specifications.

Jones is a menace to decent society and should be locked away so he cannot harm others.
