MASSILLON, Ohio (AP) — Police say a northeast Ohio man shot his estranged wife, took her to a hospital and then killed himself in the facility’s parking lot.
The Independent newspaper of Massillon reports that 68-year-old Danny Owens was already wanted on a domestic-violence warrant when he went to his estranged wife’s home early Wednesday and ended up shooting her in the knee during an argument.
Police say he dropped her off in the Affinity Medical Center parking lot.
Security officers later found Owens slumped over in his car in the lot. He apparently killed himself with a single gunshot to the head.
Police were looking for Owens after a June incident, but his wife told them he had moved back to Tennessee.
