BOARDMAN — A 28-year-old township woman is expected in Mahoning County Area Court here today to face charges of felonious assault and domestic violence.
Janell R. Thomas is accused of stabbing her girlfriend with a butcher knife during a July 19 argument, police said.
The 26-year-old girlfriend told police Thomas stabbed her in the stomach after she refused to leave their Oregon Trail house with Thomas, according to reports.
Police arrested Thomas on Tuesday, and she is held without bond in the county jail.
