Bricks fall from Wick Building, sidewalk blocked
youngstown
Workers blocked off a portion of the sidewalk by the Wick Building after several bricks from the building’s exterior fell off.
No one was injured.
Workers at the building Tuesday evening said the West Federal Street building is owned by Dominic Marchionda.
Early last month, Lou Frangos and Wick Ohio One were finalizing the building’s sale to Marchionda of Poland, according to Vindicator files. He plans to turn it into an apartment complex.
Mahoning County property tax records show the building dates to 1910.

It was pretty startling -- I was having dinner at V2 and happened to be looking out the window and saw the debris falling as a car went by. Luckily nobody was on the sidewalk and nothing appeared damaged.
Never a dull moment!
Let us tear this building down and make another surface parkling lot, I just about know where the money is going to come from for this guy to turn this relic into an apartment complex, We the people will put up the money thru are tremendous city government, then when it goes bust, he will turn it into section 8 housing for the have nots. Wanna bet?
