Austintown Bounce and Hey Kid! will team up May 5 to treat Valley children to a full day of music, food and fun.
The event will feature all-day play at Austintown Bounce, a Hey Kid! concert, as well as a hot dog and small fountain drink for each paid admission.
Doors open at noon and the concert will begin at 1:30 p.m.
Hey Kid! is a musical group aimed at children age 2 to 10. The band, which includes three Valley natives, was formed in 2008. It plays at various area events and has released its own CD, which features original children’s songs such as Pirate the Pirate and The Bubblegum Ball Kid.
“We are thrilled to host this event to help kick off spring,” said Bruce Shepas, co-owner of Austintown Bounce. “The music will be great and there are plenty of activities to keep the kids busy for hours.”
Admission for the event will be $8 per child or adult.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Austintown schools’ PTA groups, if students bring an event flier to the concert. These fliers will be distributed to students at each elementary school in the district, prior to the event.
Austintown Bounce is located at 4317 Kirk Road in the Western Fair Plaza, near the intersection of Kirk and Raccoon Road.
