YOUNGSTOWN — Mahoning Valley drivers are saving 10 cents per gallon on gasoline compared to a week ago.
The price for a gallon of regular-grade gasoline was $3.44 on Monday, down from $3.54 a week ago, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.
In Ohio, a survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express put the average price for regular-grade gasoline at $3.32 per gallon in Ohio. That’s down 17 cents from last week, when it was $3.49, but remains well above the $2.63 average from this time last year.
Nationwide, the average cost of regular gas is $3.49, a bit higher than the statewide figure.

It's nice to see pricing going down here in the Valley. However, they are still lower in other places. For instance, I was in Tennessee last week and the price was $3.11 for regular.
Gas prices are still obscenely high. The price of crude is low enough that gasoline should be a buck less than it is.
