SPRING GROVE, Pa. (AP) — A stolen pickup truck has been returned to its owner with a note of apology in central Pennsylvania.
Police in York County say the truck was taken early Monday morning from a home in Heidelberg Township. The missing pickup was returned a short time later along with a note written in Spanish apologizing for the theft.
Not long after the truck was taken, a second burglary was reported nearby. Police said the homeowner fired several warning shots after confronting someone trying to enter his home.
Southwestern Regional Police say they believe the same person was involved in both burglaries.
