And the beat goes on . . . .. As soon as the new vacancy tax goes into effect on housing the rate of killing on the SouthSide should go down .

Why would it go down? People with vacant houses/building cannot afford to pay an additional tax .

What do vacant properties have to do with homocides? Nothing!! Thats just a simple answer to a larger problem. When was the last time someone was found dead at a vacant house? This kid was exicuted in the parking lot of the Coconet Grove a haven for drug and criminal activity. Maybe Youngstown should have more cops on the streets taking care of problem places like this then talk about a vacant property tax.

@areyoukidding2366 - you have any proof to back up your finger pointing the Coconut Grove? The man who was murdered had ordered take - out food and was leaving the place when he was gunned down.
Youngstown in the 21st century is no different than Youngstown was in the late 50's and early 60's except that back than Italians were killing each other.

@areyoukidding2366 - Putting more cops on the streets will not help anything especially since YPD(also YFD) does not hire the best people. Its a family affair in Youngstown.

Don't they ever get tired of Killing.....

Youngstown police are looking for suspects looking an overnight shooting that left a man dead and a woman hurt.
It happened just before 2 a.m. in the parking lot of the Coconut Grove on South Avenue.
Jerome Miller, who also went by the name Noodle, was found shot to death.
Tamara Sharpe, 33, of Youngstown also suffered a bullet wound to the arm.

Investigators said Sharpe is related to one of the city's other recent homicide victims, Tequon Sharpe, 20, who was killed earlier this month. He was found lying in a pool of blood late inside a home on East Judson. He had a gunshot wound to the head.

listen i work at the coconut and there is no drug activity going on in side of the bar its a shame this bar gets so much negative feed back when most of the bars on south ave have a regular drug dealer in them every night.and all the kid was there for was takeout he never orderd a drink besides pop or water.and there are drugs everywhere not just youngstown.
