Police believe the man lives on the East Side
Police issued arrest warrants for a 28-year-old city man believed to be responsible for a South Side shooting that put two people in the hospital.
According to police, six arrest warrants for felonious assault have been issued for Anthony White, who police believe lives on the East Side. White is suspected of shooting a 29-year-old woman in the chest twice and shooting a 21-year-old man in the foot during an argument Monday afternoon in the 500 block of East Lucius Avenue.
The woman, Theresa Stillwagon, and the man, Dearris Howell, were taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment. Stillwater was listed in critical condition late Tuesday, and there was no condition released for Howell.
According to police, officers found Howell lying faced down in the driveway of a home near a red Dodge Neon that had been riddled with several bullets. Stillwagon was found inside a nearby home lying on the floor.
Witnesses told police White was arguing with Howell in a nearby driveway when White went into a house and retrieved an AK-47 assault rifle. According to witnesses, he ran down the driveway and began shooting at Howell, striking both Howell and Stillwagon in the process.
Neighbors helped Stillwagon into a nearby house where she stayed until police and an ambulance arrived.
Officers said few people came forward with infor-mation regarding the shooting, but one person in a nearby crowd captured at least part of the incident on video.
Police confiscated the video as evidence.
