The Youngstown State football team lost to South Dakota State 35-28 on Saturday at Stambaugh Stadium.

Watching the game, the team looked to be inconsistant in executing plays. What made this important was the South Dakota team came out of the locker room determined not to lose again. I got the feeling our guys were worried about losing again.
There is talent on the 'Guins. Arod's comment (above) is appropriate. For all of Wolford's talk, there appears to be some spark missing from their play. I wouldn't fault the players all that much. Yeah, they made errors and drew penalties, but do did South Dakota.
The Jackrabbits were supposed to have a good running attack and had lost their starting QB. Their substitute QB killed us on his passing. Agreed, we sacked him 3 times and he threw one INT for a TD for us, but his killler play was that long TD pass to kill us. Defensively, the secondary needs to be addressed.
Wait til next year.
