Austintown trustees to discuss a levy

The township trustees will have a special meeting Thursday.
The meeting will be at 6 p.m. at the Austintown Administration Building on Ohltown Road, where the trustees will “consider a resolution requesting certification from the Mahoning County Auditor” for a replacement or additional levy for the township.

Could not agree more derf. They should have thought long and hard about this before putting the senior center levy up. The only reason it passed is because of those senior folks went out and voted for it. Stupid, stupid, stupid. The trustees are going to get a big fat NO vote from me. That senior center was built under the guise that it would not cost the taxpayers a penny - typical political BS.
As a senior citizen of Austintown I like that I can vote for things that benefit me and are paid for by others.
An additional levy? If so, the trustees might be in need of medical and psychologcial evaluations. Why? For them to even discuss a new levy suggests they have dain bramage.
Times are tough. We tightened our belts; now it's their turn.
