Economy grew at 2 percent rate in third quarter
WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. economy grew more slowly over the summer than the government had earlier estimated because businesses cut back more sharply on restocking of shelves. The Commerce Department said today that the economy grew at an annual rate of 2 percent in the July-September quarter, lower than an initial 2.5 percent estimate made last month. The government also said after-tax incomes fell by the largest amount in two years, reflecting high unemployment and lower pay raises.

Ahhhhh the change and hope of Obama Bin Laden. Hope you all are happy.
Gladly accept the 2% growth over the declining Bush years that we continue to dig out of.
Much happier then staying in the recession Bushy put us in.
palbubba.....I think you screwed your comment up: you mean HE killed bin laden and this is what makes us have some hope.....i only come on here to see the funny UN-intelligent people of youngstown and it's surrounding areas. It's funny actually to see what you guys have learned staying here in the yo. and as i see, NOTHING!!! It's a shame how out of the loop 98% of youngstowners are. Expand your horizon and know that there is other places out there other youngstown. this place is stuck in the mafia days....hey! news flash....they are not coming back.....
2% is slow growth but it's hard for Obama to clean up Bush's recession any faster when Republicans iin congress won't even pass a jobs bill. Heaven forbid we have smooth roads and bridges that don't collapse.
