WARREN — The four youths accused of bullying an 11-year-old boy in the locker room of the Willard K-8 building in late October have been charged with misdemeanor assault in Trumbull County Juvenile Court.
The victim said one boy swung him around, causing a broken toe, and another boy kicked him on the side of the face. The suspects are in the sixth and eighth grades.
Two other boys — one in sixth grade and one in eighth grade — just watched, the victim said.
The victim’s father has said this was the fourth time this year his son was bullied.
The alleged bullying preceded a Nov. 9 incident in which an 8-year-old Willard K-8 female student said an 8-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl assaulted her as she reached the top of a set of stairs.
The girl grabbed the victim’s shirt, pinned her and punched her in the face and head. The boy kicked her, she said. The victim reported that the two children had bullied her since the start of the school year.
Both children received care at a local hospital for their injuries.

First thing is suspend the gym teacher who clearly should have prevented this and the principal and assistant principal for the second assault. Let them sit at home for a couple of weeks with no pay.Bring some accountability to these people who obviously are not providing a safe place for the kids who do want to learn.
Now none of these attacks would happen to be based on race would they ?
How ridiculous to criminalize the behavior of kids! Bullies have existed for ages. At one time in public schools, bullies were sent to the principal or to the coaches. They were counseled and they were punished with work detail or after school detentions or extra school work. Instead, today we call the police on them and send them off to juvie lock ups--hell holes.
