Mahoning County Prosecutor Paul Gains is alive but sore after suffering a bruised right hip in a motorcycle accident in Richfield Saturday afternoon.
“The reports of my demise are overexaggerated,” Gains told The Vindicator.
Gains was one of about 3,500 who participated in a Veteran’s Day weekend ride on Interstate 77 when a motorcyclist riding behind him lost control. Gains said the individual had fallen off his bike before the bike struck Gains’ fender.
“When his bike hit mine, he had already fallen off,” Gains said. “When I felt the impact, I saw the bike in the mirror.”
Gains said he tried to ride through the impact, but his fender crippled from the contact and locked up his rear tire.

Will this accident now derail any hopes of taking Jamar Houser to trial for the execution of Angeline Fimognari ?
@Stan ... The answer is "no." Every four years, Gains shows up on a high profile case and acts like a prosecutor. They will do everything they can to take this case and the YSU shootings to trial early next year to show how "tough" they are on crime. The concern isn't justice for Angeline or any other victim. The only concern is to hang on to the best job he ever had and to keep his cronies in the good life.
He more then likely would have failed a breathalyzer test.
Karma didnt work as good as it should have , maybe next time
