YOUNGSTOWN — A 26-year-old North Side man with a lengthy criminal record pleaded guilty to new burglary and receiving stolen property charges.
Water Kornegay, of Catalina Avenue, entered his pleas today before Judge John M. Durkin of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court, who will sentence him at 9 a.m. Jan. 5. Kornegay entered his pleas the day his jury trial had been scheduled to start.
The burglary charge pertains to his unauthorized entrance through a window on March 18 at the Redemption House group home on Redondo Road, from which a 42-inch flat-screen television was taken.

Bennie's not stupid. He's milked this since last march. Sentencing isn't til january. He will have gotten 10 months time served with good food, clean sheets, and playing cards with his friends at the county jail at our expense. I'm sure his time, if any, in state prison will be minimal and he'll be out again to prey on the citizens of the northside.
This light justice is just more proof positive why everyone should exert their right to bear arms. Ohio is a castle law state meaning you have no responsibility to retreat from an intruder. Shoot that f-er dead on the spot and we'll see how much probation he gets.
That is the solution folks. Arm yourselves and shoot to kill. Call 911 after the job is done. That is what real men and women do. And crime will plummet when a few show the rest that crime is a death sentence in this town.
Stop being a victim, grow some and take responsibility for your own safety and security like I do. I absolutely DARE any of the y-town scumbags to walk across my floor uninvited. Doing so is a death sentence.
Be careful when announcing your intentions...
they can and will be used against you by liberal, Democrat attorneys.
Walter is cool and he is integral to the culture of Youngstown . He will be back in full swing after this very restful interlude . Perhaps this time his goal may be a bigger flat screen TV . . . ..
