NORTH CANTON, Ohio (AP) — Ohio school officials say a large rock hurled by a lawnmower crashed into a classroom and struck a fourth-grader in the head, fracturing her skull.
The Akron Beacon Journal reports the girl was not knocked down and did not lose consciousness in Monday’s accident in North Canton. Schools Superintendent Mike Gallina says she was in good spirits when he visited her that night in a hospital, where she was scheduled for surgery on her dented skull.
A maintenance worker was cutting the grass on the baseball field outside the school when the mower caught the softball-size rock and sent it flying. It broke through a back window of the classroom and traveled over the heads of seated students before hitting the girl, standing at the teacher’s desk.

is this really news? what happened to this paper...?
Yes, it's news. It's all news. This is what a NEWSpaper does. If you only want to read about what you want to read about, print your own NEWSpaper or don't click on the story....it's that simple.
I'm guessing it's news since it's an AP story not even written by the Vindy staff..
Lol @ Boxerlover. thats funny.
