Volunteers needed for MV Pride event June 12

Volunteers are needed to participate in the Mahoning Valley Pride event, pass out Equality Ohio materials, or engage in creative acts of raising awareness from noon to 7 p.m. June 12 at the B&O Banquet Center & Park, 530 Mahoning Ave.

Volunteer shifts are from noon to 3:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Go to https://equalityfederation.salsalabs.com/o/35026/p/salsa/event/common/public/?event_KEY=792 to register. Volunteers receive a free T-shirt, and water and snacks will be provided.

Equality Ohio is headquartered in Columbus. According to its website, part of its mission is to serve as an advocate and champion for fair treatment and equal opportunity for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender citizens, and facilitate “a greater understanding of our common humanity through education and outreach efforts.”
