Pornography found at bin Laden’s hideout in Pakistan

Published: Sat, May 14, 2011 @ 12:24 a.m.

Associated Press

WASHINGTON

A sizeable stash of pornography was among the items seized when U.S. Navy SEALs raided the Pakistani hideout of Osama bin Laden, almost two weeks ago, U.S. officials say.

The officials said it was unclear who the material belonged to, and there was no way to know whether bin Laden had viewed it.

Bin Laden’s son and two other adult male couriers lived at the compound, the officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss matters of intelligence.

The pornography was among the computer materials confiscated in the raid after the SEALs killed bin Laden, ending an almost ten-year manhunt for the terrorist behind the 9/11 terror attacks.

The disclosure that U.S. investigators found pornography — which provoked ridicule among bloggers Friday — fuels the U.S. narrative that bin Laden was not the respectable or noble figure that his supporters embraced. The U.S. government previously asserted that bin Laden hid behind a woman in the compound as a “human shield” on the night of the raid but later revised its account of the deadly shooting inside the compound and said she rushed at one of the Navy SEALs and was shot in the calf.

The SEALs fatally shot bin Laden in a post-midnight raid May 2 at his hidden compound in the Pakistani army town of Abbottabad, shooting him in the head and chest when he ducked away from the raiders into his bedroom — they thought, reaching for a weapon.

After they killed him, they confiscated what U.S. officials call a “treasure trove” of information from bin Laden’s second-floor office. The items included a handwritten journal, five computers, ten hard drives and 110 thumb drives seized at the site.

All the media taken from the site is now being analyzed by a CIA-led team.

Well imagine that old osama being a perv on top of a mass murderer of innocent men, women and children.

I doubt this revelation will change the way his demented followers view him.
Can you imagine the party at binny's place ?

A pack of filthy old geezes who haven't had a bath since the midwife sitting on the floor watching porn and hitting the hookah all night.

Bet there wasn't a camel sheep, goat or goat herder for that matter safe within miles of the place.
This story certainly explains why the camels in binny's neighborhood seem to be smiling and walking funny !!

We have become so politically correct that our government burns bibles sent overseas and then holds a Muslim ceremony for one who planned the death of thousands of Americans. While the bibles were burned there was, and is, a directive in effect detailing how our military must "correctly" handle the Koran in order to show respect for the religion of our Gitmo detainees. Our government is aiding and abetting our enemies in what we refuse to recognize or identify as a religious war.

Tell me when and where our government burnt bibles. Don't just spread lies you heard from some random moron who tells you a story he heard. Also, if this is a religious war constitutionally we are required to get out of it. We are a secular nation and people of all religious beliefs are welcome here. Saying we are a Christian nation is as un-American as it gets.

Why should the porn discovery surprise anyone ? The Islamics have multiple wives and they have either bought or kidnapped young girls for their harems for centuries . If Osama had some gay porn now that would be a some real news !

It's not outside the US government's moral boundaries to lie about something like this. Unfortunately, the American public is too filled with wall-eyed hillbilly ignoramuses to know that.

Quail,

I've read many of your posts, and it is clear that you are very liberal. I am a conservative. So we will not agree on many issues. That said, I think you are missing the fundamental issue conservatives have with "political correctness".

Yes there are far right wacko's and some over the top bible thumpers... but the majority of us "goofballs" DO oppose political correctness. This country was founded on religious freedoms - that means ALL religions. But to change traditions surrounding a CHRISTIAN holiday like Christmas because it may OFFEND a non Christian is wrong. To say the "pledge" without using the phrase under GOD... is wrong. You see we just get tired of people who are so sensitive they feel as if they should "alter" traditions that have been in our faith for generations. I'm not saying you have to be a Christian or believe in GOD.... but if you don't then find a holiday ( ie. Festivus) for You and other non Christians and celebrate it.... Go into work and do your job while the Christians are celebrating.... we're good with that, really. And if you choose to take your vacation days for Hanukkah or Ramadan - please do. I promise there are not Christians ( wacko's excluded) that are trying to change anything about the celebration of lights... because it offends us.

What I'm tryin to say is this.... Political Correctness is not about trying to convert another to your way of thinking... rather it's everybody being a bunch of Pu$$es and feeling the need to OMIT, REMOVE, or ALTER another's traditions or beliefs because some thin skinned douchebag like you might be offended. Get over it. Believe what you want... but don't say the pledge unless you believe what it stands for ( as written).

First, (I can already tell someone's going to get butthurt over this) we are a Christian nation started by separatist and Puritans who's follies are well documented and include persecution, raping, and pillaging. But that's not the issue. Religion, race, and political backgrounds are human conceptions that create a division as well as an alignment between peoples. So the guy had porn. A lot of it. Did they specify which type? No. Raise your hands if you have been overseas and lived with Muslim Arabs. Okay. Put 'em down. Allow me to enlighten you on the culture. No matter what you have heard in the media. Know matter what you have read anywhere. No matter what any of your Muslim or Arab friends tell you... They (the typical male Arabs) love porno. They're favorite type? Shemale. In their minds, it's the best of both worlds. Now they aren't all homosexuals. The culture for the most part abides it in discretion. I guess what some people in our culture would refer to as "the down-low". But the ones who are homosexuals, are more or less macho about it. They will have no problem offering or asking a man for sex. It's an intimacy thing amongst most tribal nations all over that part of the world and they harbor a belief that men are for pleasure and women are only for making babies.

Now, I'm sure I'll receive some backlash and personal attacks about this post. That's fine. Just make sure when you make a claim you can substantiate it. If you have a bone to pick, stick to the issue and don't fly off the handle trying to defamate my character to make yourself feel better. So, as always, I'm a true combat vet, a patriot, a man of honor, I use my real name, I don't hide behind anything, and I'm not hard to find.

The floor is yours.

Well Public Enemy,
Maybe the traditional pledge shouldn't have been altered in 1954 to INCLUDE the words "under God."

Any Medicare user can tell you that when they said the pledge back in the day, it was "...one nation, indivisible with liberty and justice for all."

Education,

Thanks for the history lesson. Your link to a liberal website that offered the following commentary:

"Opposition to equality continues today; a sizeable minority of American adults remain opposed to equal rights for women, gays and lesbians, and transsexuals."

...doesn't impress. In fact it only further supports my point, which I think you missed. If you think that Congress "altered" the pledge in 1954 because of their desire to be PC... then you are too far gone to reason with. Today, folks alter, change, or cry about anything that they do not agree with. My point is clear, if you disagree with something a group is doing, unless you are being forced to join in, or the group is harming someone, simply don't participate. But don't get your panties in bunch when you do decide to participate ( take Christmas off as a Holiday or Wish someone a "Happy Holiday" in close proximity to December 25th) and others who do believe and consider it a sacred tradition - get upset with you. How many Christians have fought to remove Hanukkah or other religions holy days from advertising or other forms of public dialogue?

So a reader of your website might take away a subtle suggestion that our Pledge should be "all inclusive" and we should change it, as not to exclude transexuals? I wish liberals would devote as much time, energy and resources into fixing problems in this country as they do trying to uncover or create them where they didn't exist before.... they are great at crying "FOUL" but rarely have any reasonable suggestions for a fix.
