ATHLETIC GROUPS

Girard Golden Eagles will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday at Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St.

McDonald Midget Football Association will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday in the Community Room at the post office building.

McDonald Sideliners will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the high school.

AUXILIARIES

The Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW, Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will have its Mother’s Day Dinner and meeting on Monday at the post home. Members are asked to take a covered dish, salad or dessert and their own place setting. Dinner will begin at 5:30 and a short business meeting will follow. For information call 330-755-2701.

CLASSES

Woodrow Wilson High School Classes of January and June 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman. Members of the 1946 and 1948 classes are welcome.

CLUBS

College Club of Sharon will meet for a noon luncheon on Saturday at Avalon Golf and Country Club in Buhl Park. Broadcast journalist Anita Quinn of WFMJ-TV 21 will be the speaker. Guests are welcome. LIBRARY FRIENDS

Friends of the Boardman Library will meet at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the community room. Dr. Sherry Linkon will speak about “Preserving Family Memories” at 10. Hostesses will be Marjorie Burin, Pauline Hruby, Renee Cole and Beverly Gibson. Guests are welcome. No reservations are required. Donations of books are greatly needed and will be collected from 10 a.m. to noon the first and third Saturdays of each month.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Christian Coalition of Mercer County will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Assembly of God Church, 1455 N. Keel Ridge Road, Hermitage, Pa. The speaker will be Pat White, president of the new organization. Candidates seeking county offices are invited to speak. New members are welcome.

Junior Seton Circle will meet at noon Thursday at A La Cart in Canfield. Kay Lavelle of the sheriff’s department will give a program on safety. Members of the social committee will serve as hostesses.

Mount Carmel Society of St. Rose Church will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the lower church.

St. Monica Guild of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown, will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday. President Patti Rossi will preside. Hostesses are Carmela Guy, Donna Hartranft, Cindy Jones, Tina Kinnick and Arlene Larson.

St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the parish house.

Seton III will have its May meeting Thursday at Caff Capri, Market Street in Boardman. The social hour begins at 5:30, and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. The subject is the end-of-year social; the theme is spring.
