YOUNGSTOWN — More than 400 people rallied in protest of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber's support of Ohio Senate Bill 5 this afternoon outside the chamber’s headquarters at 11 Central Square.
Union representatives, students and workers gathered downtown in chilling temperatures to show their opposition to the chamber's endorsement and the bill, which would curtail collective-bargaining rights for public employees.
Protesters carried signs that read “Stop the war on workers” and chanted “Who’s got to go; Humphries has got to go!”
Tom Humphries is the chamber's president and chief executive officer. The chamber’s board of directors voted earlier this month to support the bill.

So Vindy.. is it 200 or 400 protesters??
The Chamber should be able to support what ever they want and not have to get harrassed by the unions, this is still a free society, isn't it??? Makes you wonder by watching some of these demonstrators.
And so police officers and fire-fighters are a "fouled-mouthed" and "typical mob." Pay attention. Chamber made a mistake, YSU administration made the same mistake. They should stand on principle - the basic right of people to unionize. Fireline, Inc did and Turning Technologies might, so too will others. They are right, Chamber and YSU administration are wrong. Knockout punch in the ninth round come November.
And these people can't figure out why no businesses want to come to this area.
