Market Street crash 'sounded like a bomb'
Three people, including the driver of a Vindicator van, were taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for observation after a four-vehicle crash on Market Street.
An Associated Neighborhood Centers van was making a left turn in the left northbound lane on Market Thursday afternoon when a Penske semi truck, two vehicles behind it, rear-ended a red pickup truck.
The pickup became sandwiched between the semi and the Vindicator van in front of it, propelling the van into the Associated Neighborhood Centers van.
Six passengers and the driver in the Neighborhood Centers van were not injured.
“It sounded like a bomb going off,” said Lowellville resident Michael Seidita, 45, who witnessed the accident.
