Young people have opportunity to learn gardening techniques
The Youth Gardening Committee of the Men’s Garden Club of Youngstown will teach 12 young people gardening techniques this summer on the grounds at Akron Children’s Hospital, 6505 Market St., Boardman.

Each participant will be taught how to grow vegetables and flowers in 4-by-10-foot raised beds for their own use.
The cost for the summer program is $15 for one youth or $25 for a family and includes plants, seeds, fertilizer, mulch and gardening equipment.
Workdays will be 9 to 11 a.m. April 9 and May 14 while school is in session, and from 9 to 11 a.m. each Tuesday beginning June 7 and ending Aug. 23.
