Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at eight locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance, and transportation is available. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, March 23: Roasted pork loin, gravy, seasoned potato, oriental veggies, unsweetened applesauce, wheat bread, fig bar or sugar-free cookie, and milk.

Thursday, March 24: Barbecue chicken strips, vegetarian beans, sliced carrot, unsweetened pears, wheat bread with jelly margarine, orange gelatin cup, and milk.

Friday, March 25: Meatloaf with gravy, mashed potatoes, Normandy blend, tropical fruit, banana muffin, margarine, and milk.

Saturday, March 26: Ham, tossed salad, carrot raisin salad, fresh orange, hamburger bun, fig bar or sugar-free cookie, and milk.

Monday, March 28: Chicken breast, corn, green beans, unsweetened peaches, wheat bun, mayo, orange cookie, and milk.

Tuesday, March 29: Meatballs with sauce, noodles and gravy, brussels sprouts, mandarin orange, wheat bread, jelly and milk.

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.50 per meal.

Wednesday, March 23: Mild rope sausage, peppers and onions, french green beans, potato spudster, hot dog bun, cherry gelatin with fruit, sugar-free gelatin with fruit, and milk.

Thursday, March 24: Chicken Parmesan with sauce and provolone cheese, penne pasta with sauce, cauliflower, wheat bread with margarine, golden apple, grape juice, and milk.

Friday, March 25: Barbecue riblet with sauce on a Diamond Jim bun, scalloped potatoes, broccoli, coleslaw, and milk.

Monday, March 28: Chicken quarter, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, rye bread with margarine, diced peaches, and milk.

Tuesday, March 29: Swedish meatballs, noodles with gravy, unsweetened applesauce, diced carrots, wheat bread with margarine, orange, and milk.
