YOUNGSTOWN — Two city officers have been suspended without pay after an internal affairs investigation into a police chase through the city Jan 13.
Lt. Douglas Bobovnyik and Lt. Jason Simon are suspended without pay from Friday through March 23. Neither officer will be permitted to work as a city officer or perform any side police work during the five-day suspension period.
According to information obtained from city records, the officers were suspended for violations of the city’s pursuit policy and violations of the city’s code of conduct.
Police Chief Jimmy Hughes was not immediately available for comment.

Simply a crackdown on subculture intimidation . This is 2011 and the subculture has extended rights to pursue their goals without police harrasment .
I would trust the officers decision rather than let a criminal roam free, it's true bad things may happen, but bad happens all over youngstown anyways.
